About LDA Care

We are a specialist care provider that supports individuals who have a learning disability and/or are on the autism spectrum. We provide a flexible, person-centred approach with a focus on supporting those who display significant behaviours of concern.

We offer a broad spectrum of flexible personalised care carried out by our multidisciplinary team.

Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) practitioners and learning disability nurses offer a wide range of skills and experience in specialised assessments, planning and delivering the right support.

Here at LDA Care, we don’t anticipate it will always be ‘smooth sailing’ with the people we are serving. The individuals we support may have experienced abuse, rejection, and trauma.

Some individuals may exhibit symptoms of post-traumatic stress, have experienced institutionalisation, and may have missed out on everyday processes of socialisation.

Each has inherent and acquired ‘disabilities’, however, experience tells us with the right skilled relationship-based support, and the opportunity to experience a rich and meaningful life, these individuals can have and be so much more.

Are you who we are looking for?

Your personality and skills are just as important to us as your CV and work history. If you have the right attitude and social skills we’d still like to hear from you, even if you don’t have any direct experience in the care sector.

We are looking for people who will demonstrate the competence (or enthusiasm to acquire the competence) to provide excellent personalised social, and sometimes clinical level behavioural, support to people with learning disabilities and autism in their own homes.

We currently have a great opportunity for dedicated Support Workers to work with individuals who have either a learning disability, autism and or mental health support needs.

Our clients live on their own, so we are looking for team members who can provide 360 wrap around support to cover all aspects of their life.

The personal qualities we are looking for include:

  • Prepared to work as part of a fantastic team and deliver great communication

  • Have a positive attitude to enhancing people’s lives

  • Be approachable

  • Empathetic to individual’s needs & communication difficulties

  • Must be able to stay calm & responsive in potentially stressful situations

  • Flexible with the shifts required to work on a rota including weekend & bank holidays.

I commenced employment with LDA Care on 25th September 2021. I am the registered manager of LDA Care. The team are supportive, and I look forward to work each day. I have had many opportunities in such a short space of time to develop my knowledge base. I am currently enrolled on a practitioner course for Positive behaviour support. The director is supportive and listens to what you have to say working with staff. One thing I particularly enjoy about working within this company is we are all equal. The director goes out to properties and meets individuals and their families I have never had this experience in any other company. A relaxed and enjoyable environment to work in.
